That was so sweet Mick. At Bird Rehab, we always assume the worst when cats and birds get together!

Here is a video that someone just sent me on "How to Gift Wrap a Cat" Hope you all enjoy!

Gigi, that was so cute! I could tell that was an elder-cat by the way she/he walked and well loved by the many little pats on the back that were delivered. AWWWWW! Image

I also thought she was an older gal. She moved slowly and was so trusting. I am not sure any of my cats would let me do that.

That is SOOO interesting, gigi. I've always loved the sound of a cat lapping. Very soothing.

Interesting info, Gigi!

But cats can also drink with their paws (well, sort of). One of our cats (Hope) loves chocolate milk & so does my husband, so he has to take great care that she can't get to the chocolate milk & get sick! He has gotten to the point where if he drinks the choc milk down to the point that she can't get her head far enough into the glass to get any, he relaxes about it. We were watching TV the other night & hubby saw something out of the corner of his eye. Here Hope was dipping her paw into the glass & then licking the choc milk off her paw! Fortunately, she didn't get sick!
:o

:catmoon: Catwoman, we have cats who drink both ways. When they are drinking from the water dish, they do it by lapping up the water. But when they try to sneak a drink from my glass of milk, they use the old paw method. And let me tell you, they aren't really sneaky about it!!

Freya loves to "fish" water from the pond
Sometimes some plants get fished out as well . . . she either eats them or swings them out of her way.
And she likes to drink from a running tap, also with her paw. Waterdrops all over the place in no time . . .

The same cat (Hope) only wants to drink water from the bathtub faucet. Only she doesn't drink from her paw--she sticks her head under the running water! :o Now granted, if its more than a trickle of water, she won't drink it, but she comes out of the bathrub & shakes her wet head giving a shower to whoever is sitting on the toilet!

DEF, I hope Freya takes care of any indigestion from eating plants outside & doesn't wait til she gets inside!
