I am not sure if you are aware but SE17 was rescued from the forest floor this morning/lunchtime 19th Oct.
S/he branched yesterday morning and was having great fun with his/her new skill.
This morning s/he lost her/his footing/grip and landed below the nest and then as time went by down to the forest floor. SE17 is now at the Wildlife Hospital. There is more info on the EagleCAM | Facebook page.

Update; Oct 21st SE17 has been put back into the Reserve. He was put on nest 2 but flew off not long after.
He is still inside the reserve.

Some pictures from our busy day on Friday. Wet and tiring for Steve and the climb team, especially Tonino who was literally hanging about up there.
Also pictures of Dad and Lady taken today. They have now returned to the nest following all the activity on Friday.
A huge thank you to everyone who has made this possible. All the volunteers and those who have been able to make a donation to help pay for all the damaged equipment. We have raised approximately $2,500 so far, around half of what we need to pay for the new camera, tree climbers and to replace all of the other electrical components to get us back on the air. There is no sound yet but we hope to resolve that sometime this week.

Let the countdown begin.... Incubation is typically 40 days for the first egg and 38-39 for the second.

With delayed incubation we could see them hatch on the same day ( approx. 22nd - 25th July).
