We haven't seen a second head pop up. There could have been two eggs...

I was watching cam yesterday afternoon and saw Hali's brief appearance, around 4:47 PM. We get a very good look at Hali's feathers!

A group of Hornby Eagle fans made a pilgrimage to Hornby Island. They serenaded the Hornby cam viewers at 8:20 PM

Flights around the "babysitting tree." At the same time, a fly quickly walks across the camera lens.

July 5, 6:00 AM PDT

Early morning meal and Hali is very hungry! One parent on top of tree and one parent feeding her. The cam and microphone are about 230 feet away and yet we can hear the nest sounds! Special directional microphone is working very well.

8:37 AM fledge

What a day! Hali fledged, and she has spent time in the babysitting tree, on top of the stump, and on top of the wide angle cam. Mom arrives to spend the night, but Hali remains where she is, perhaps thinking how wonderful it is to fly.
