So, we either had 2 juvies on the next ledge or a juvie and Aries because one bird just took off and another bird still there...Durand still in the box.

Now Bird #2 just left...

About a minute later, 2nd bird leaves

Few seconds later, fly-by

Durand watching it all from the box

Poor little Durand. I can't imagine that she will go to the new box, but I hope that she will have a successful nest wherever she ends up. Maybe they can return the following year after the work is done. I know construction happens, but it sure messes up the birds.

He's still there Beth. Aries is in the box doing some talon maintenance, preening, gaping, chewing on the corner of the nest box, and lots of napping.

Aries is still there. The sun is coming around and he has moved to the back corner of the box, in the shade facing the corner...looks like he's in a time-out. :teehee:

He is having quite a little siesta today...enjoying his solitude.

These were from yesterday (7/28)...several trips up by both Aries and Durand...I never caught them in the box at the same time..

...and Aries from this morning..

Unfortunately, my A/C has died (thankfully, still under warranty) so I'm spending as little time as possible IN the house and keeping the computer on. I'm not sure who's gonna over heat first, me or the computer...anyway, I hate that. I know we don't have much longer with this cam so I hate wasting any minute not checking it...I'm gonna remain optimistic that they will pick up where they left off in their new home during the 2018 season!! :biggrin:

Just read about all the changes coming to Columbus. Hope all of this will work out. I'd be blown away if this happened in Harrisburg.

Durand was just on the porch, deliberately sunning herself and panting away in the heat. Both parents have been spending time relaxing at the box. It will be gone soon enough. Maybe she knows what's coming. I feel so bad for her. This has been the only nest she's ever known. :blinksun:
