Bird Cams Around the World

Watching everybody hanging out. Although now there is a feed going on but only 3 chicks eating. Maybe the 4th one is in the corner. But these 3 are really hungry.

Watching these 3 eat so frantically, it's hard to imagine why the 4th is not coming.



Ok, i've talked myself into a panic.

Well I can see it moving, but without sound hard to know if it's crying or just breathing and sleeping. Anyway these 3 are full so it would be an ideal time to come and get a bite.

I watched that feed too, ljames. That chick in the corner is concerning. The kids had no crops going into this feed. I think they were pretty empty. I'm surprised the ruckus of the feed did not wake it up. I wonder if that's the chick with the beak issue SGB noted this morning. I don't see it present on the 3 chicks that ate.

4:03 pm - Kids are stuffed.

It just woke up and did some brief preening, but not huddling with the others. Maybe it had a good feed this morning. It was warm in the box today. It's 71 degrees now. I recall "baby" last year sleeping through almost a full feed while up against the back of the box....didn't wake up until everyone was done. Hopefully, all is well.

4:38 pm - 4th chick still alone in the corner.

Ok, it finally gets up and walks over to cuddle with the others. Still...

Thanks! All together again. Hopefully, there will be a bedtime feed and the other 3 chicks will still be full, so this little tyke will get 1st dibs on the food.

5:27 pm - All together in a cuddle puddle...


....with parent close-by on the ledge.

Another feed.

5:51 pm - Just before the feed. Durand was prepping prey on the ledge and all the kids woke up. I believe it was baby (bottom right) that slept through the last feed.


Everyone is upfront for this feed except one chick in the back with a very full crop.

Durand is focusing on the empty chick now...filling that one up. It is ravenous...pushing right in front of the others. Whew!

5:58 pm - Baby on the far right, just above Durand's talon, reaching for food.

Durand topped everyone off...they are stuffed to the gills. I think it was baby that slept through that earlier feed.

6:04 pm - Everyone with a full crop, including baby (middle front).

Durand just brought in more prey for ANOTHER feed. Wow!

7:26 pm - Durand brings in more prey.


7:37 pm - Still feeding. I just marveled at Durand's back feathers, so sleek and perfect. I'm surprised she had takers for this meal, but one chick had a deflated crop. They must process the food very fast.


7:39 pm - Aries arrived on the ledge outside the box. I don't know if he had prey or wanted to know if he should get more. Durand just gave him a quick glance and went back to feeding the troops.

Feed over. I think these kids are done for the night. They are so full.

7:41 pm - So full.


7:44 pm - Bed time.

Bookends. (I want a set!)


And back to sleep...

So glad to hear that baby got full yesterday. I was pretty sure it was the baby not eating too, so very concerned. Excellent news.

I have been watching the chicks just now too and saw the beauty look at the cam

Been watching a feeding. Baby was on the far end and fed last but now he is lying down after not taking additional bites offered. The next to the smallest got a bunch. They are all headed toward the wall to find a spot. Whoa, poop shot right at the camera, perfect aim, just lacked distance.

At 8:36 pm, Aries comes in with a small bird and attempts to give the entire thing to the kids...LOL..







He finally realizes this isn't gonna work..and I think he finally gets a few bites into a couple of kids...









He is abruptly interrupted by Durand, who comes in with a much larger feed..and I think that's where ljames pics and description come in..









As she was leaving, she found the leftovers that Aries dropped during his hasty retreat...and she finished them off..



She told the kids to go to bed and then she hopped up on top of the box...I think she's still there, but I'm not sure.
