March 25, 2019: The birds are back in town

Our 2018 nesting falcons have returned to Elk River! Brooklyn, the male, has returned to the Elk River, Minn. site for a fifth consecutive year. The female, Breezy, new to the nesting box in 2018 has also returned. She fledged from a nest box in Oak Park Heights, Minn. in 2015.

This pair produced four eggs in early April 2018 and all four hatched in early May. The four eyasses were banded by representatives from the Raptor Resource Project in late May. They were identified and deemed healthy.

There were 3 females and 1 male. Names: Norah (f), Elsie Rose (f), Grace Marie (f) and Joey (m). All four successfully fledged from the nesting box in late June.

Color me confused
The cam person panned down to the ground.
I dont know if they were indicating the egg fell down???
That happened a couple years ago to the only chick of the previous falcon

Breezy flew off and I FINALLY saw the egg for myself
I trust bev - I just couldnt see an egg in the box

bev had a very good pic of the egg -
I just was unable to see it in the box - on my computer
it appears to me the egg got move toward my right in the box
I swear them thar eggs is chameleons and changes colors! :sum5:
