Thank you! I got some captures with a feed but my computer was messing up and I didn't get them posted. I'll do that right now.

6:00 EDT Hope has all the chicks and eggs covered.
6:14 She gets up and I can not tell what she is doing as her back is to the cam. It's the same position she has when she feeds the chicks, but she does not feed and lies back down within a couple of minutes covering all once again.
6:30 Hope is up and she is carrying one of the eggs by the contents inside through an opening in it. She circles the chicks several times carrying this egg. She continues this for several minutes stopping at times to try and remove the contents from the egg. Edit to add: From Kate's Blog which I found online after event.
6:48 Hope is next to the chicks and after she feeds some from the egg which now has half of the shell removed, she begins to feed one of the chicks. The other chick has it's head down and is not showing any interest in feed.
6:55 The other chick finally is raising it's head and showing interest and she gives it a few bites.
6:58 The feed is over and she covers the 2 chicks and the remaining egg.
7:30 Terzo is on the nest and I missed the actual exchange while typing.

I watched this nest for 14 1/2 hours to see how many feeds the chicks were receiving. The answer on this day was 5.

Hope Eats Egg #4
April 27, 2019

Hope picked up Egg #4, moved it away from the nest, opened it, ate some of the contents, and fed the rest to her living chicks. The chick inside the egg appears to have been fully formed.
https://www.birdsoutsidemywindow.org/20 ... eats-egg-4

This is several days after the 2 healthy chicks hatched.
Something may have been wrong that the 2 last eggs did not hatch.
Its common for a bird to eat its egg in such a case.
WE DO NOT KNOW if Hope killed it - so I wont assume.
She is a good Mom to her 2 chicks

Falcon eggs usually all hatch within 24 hours or so of each other

Catwoman, actually, they were not being fed in this pic, but they certainly look as if they are!! I had to work real hard to discern, even though I knew there was not any prey or leftovers in the nest, by going to the stills to be sure. She was actually standing and looking at them and 2-3 times she went down toward the floor of the nest with her beak that you see in your pic. I am using EDT in my notes ... the only difference is the events will be posted 1 minute ahead of the cam clock, because I am using my computer clock and it is 1 minute ahead. Sometimes I post as soon as something changes and sometimes I wait till I get a few posts, so my "running notes" above may lag at times.

Went in a few minutes ago and could see Hope and Terzo standing by the chicks beak to beak having a discussion. I could not see the egg from this view. Hope departed and Terzo immediately started brooding the chicks.
