If my memory serves me correctly, Ozzie and Harriet nested there several years ago. The nest failed (the biologists were able to check the progress...all eggs broke one by one)..after the nest failed, they moved back to the original box and laid another clutch...I'll have to go back and see when that was...I think we were all shocked at the final total of eggs laid that year.

Found it.

2013: There were 5 eggs in the first clutch (at the Dominion site~its a little alcove). All eggs broke. They moved back to the box and laid 4 more eggs. first egg was 5/4/13. 2 eggs hatched, 6/11, 6/13. Both chicks were doing well, but on 6/27, both died. It was Extremely hot during that time...I mean EXTREMELY hot and biologists speculated that their deaths were heat related. :girlsad3: It was so hard to watch. Ozzie and Harriet did their best to try and shield the kids, but even they were panting like crazy.

I'm not sure if they ever figured out what caused the first failure...

was there som e disturbance eon roof in last while , that they would move. I know radisson at edmonton will take no disturbances, or sh e moves.

or maybe this girl does not like the cage that goes up ???

Lots of activity today. I've personally caught Ozzie at the box/ledge 4 times!! The way he's been flying in/out, I keep thinking she's gonna follow. Wishful thinking?

So far I have counted 8 visits by the banded one (hopefully Ozzie)...these weren't leisurely visits, but fly ups with a purpose...I kept expecting the female to follow, but she hasn't so far. He has been quite vocal on several of these visits...VDGIF is watching, too as they have zoomed to the box a couple of times while he's been in there.

Come on Ozzie....bring her HOME!!

Well, I caught 10 visits today from Ozzie...He was very active and there were times I am sure he was "talking" and bowing to someone out of cam view...maybe tomorrow, she will join him...if he can convince her to land in cam view.
