Seems in the beginning, I'd come in and not be able to see the eggs, because of incubation. Then, I would see the eggs without a parent or the parent would fly in. My viewing has been sporadic. The eggs are alone @ 2:13 AM in the CDST zone. :girlsad3:

I've checked the cam on/off...have never been lucky enough to catch two at the same time...incubating now...but, I wonder if one of the pair is AWOL...

hmmmmmmmm....maybe the mystery is unraveling...there are 2. This appeared to be more bonding behavior than "honey, time to switch" behavior. I'm not sure who is who, but if I had to guess, it would be male on the eggs and new female (or intruder female) bowing. Maybe that explains only 2 eggs and these are not hers? Gosh, I just don't know.

He (?) went to the back

Losing interest?

And gone...He (?) is still incubating

oops, spoke too soon...incubating falcon has left. Eggs are alone.

Maybe Liz will weigh in soon. Falcon there now in what looks to me a stance with wings out a little as they do when shielding young from sun, but they are clearly in the deep shade ...

It is SO hot this week... that is my guess for why she is not incubating. I have a really dark view.. I think she is in the back of the box standing over something but I can't tell. As to who is who, mom's mustache is more pointed and long, dad is very dark capped with round mustache. But in your picture I can't see both at the same time with their heads up so I'm not sure. Edit: in the second to last image posted above, dad is definitely in foreground.

Too little, too late, I'm afraid...while there is a falcon incubating earlier today...more often than not, I find no one on the eggs.

Hi Everyone, just popping in to say hello. No activity (that I know of) in SLC this year. I haven't heard anything from Bob so I assume that meant no nesting pair.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but Bob officially retired from the DNR. So there is no official wildlife representative but I know he still keeps his eye on both the nests.

Hi,
I left a note over on misc. page because this is not actually located in Salt Lake City. Bob is watching a pair in a suburb south of SLC, Murray, on the Intermountain hospital Building, where a nest box was installed a few years ago. Possible incubation going on. No cams though. I have a picture on the Twitter account @slcfalcons.

According to Bob Walter, at least one downy head was seen moving around just above the front board today. Bob is wild guessing two weeks old. If my image link doesn’t work tell me how to fix. We need a 2020 thread I suppose.
