Am wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the cam? I had it on earlier, and it shut off. Getting a message to check my network connections. I can get other cams just fine.

That message means the camera is not connected so Angelcam can not show it. The problem is on the Wilmington side, nothing to do with your connections.

Thanks. I shut the computer off and tried again, and am still getting that message. Frustrating. Hope the problem is corrected.

Webcam update from the Wilmington site...
Unfortunately, the falcon cam is not functioning, and we are not able to get to the camera to repair it as there are eggs being incubated. Disturbing the nest box at this time would cause too much disruption for the falcons. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Here's an estimate of times of possible events to look forward to:

Wilmington Falcons
April 10 at 5:48am ·
Last year Red Girl started laying eggs on March 2nd or 3rd and this year she started on March 3rd so I'm thinking hatching and fledging may be about the same as last year but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.....

Here are some guesses as to what's going on with the falcons from Dave:

-Incubation started between March 7 and March 11
-First Hatch between April 11 and April 15
-Banding between May 5 and May 10th
-Rascals may be visible on ledge between May 11 and May 15
-First fledge between May 20 and May 25

I would imagine/hope that there are young ones by now. Would hope that some of the Wilmington faithful would be watching what the adults are doing. Missing the cam a lot!

So when Craig Koppie visited on Friday April 20 the eyases were between 5 and 7 days old. That would put the hatch date on April 13 up to April 15, about 41 days after the first egg was laid (March 3)

Thanks for the prey report, Greg. We can only imagine what Red Girl and Trinity's four look like by now, but a bit more advanced than Harrisburg. The Harrisburg quartet will be banded next Monday, May 14.

I’ve been waiting for pics before I posted anything about the kids being banded but I’m not sure when Craig will have a chance to send any so...

We have three females and two males this year!

I read that on Facebook a while ago, also. Evidently one chick was hidden when the picture of the "pile" was taken. Also saw a picture posted on Facebook showing one of the chicks up on the ledge looking out over the city.

I don't know how to share it, but I saw a tremendous picture on Facebook this afternoon of all five of Red Girl's kids up on the ledge in front of the nest box. They look totally feathered out.

Thanks for sharing those links, swinwk. And if anyone reading this lives anywhere near Wilmington, they are starting their fledge watch today, and could use help. I'm two hours away, so that makes it pretty tough.

I understand that one of Red Girl's boys fledged safely this morning to a building right next to the nest building.
