There have been two feedings within the past hour. All ate well. I saw a video posted on Facebook last night of Red Girl pulling the little one from beneath the pile of chicks so the dear little thing wouldn't suffocate. Was relieved to see that it's okay this morning and that it ate well.

A pair of peregrines, Red Girl and Trinity I assume, were taking a few minutes off at 9:25 this morning, soaring over Hercules Plaza on 13th Street a few blocks northeast of the box on the Brandywine Building. One was circling clockwise, the other counterclockwise, with ee-chups when they met, chased and dove at each other. A few repeats of this, then they drifted back toward the box and out of sight.

Terrific capture, Nancy. Glad to see the little one doing well. And there has been a second hatch in Harrisburg. Trying to figure out how all these chicks are related to each other.

Red Girl is the chicks in Harrisburg half-sister. That would mean the Wilmington chicks are the nieces and nephews of those in Harrisburg--right? :flirty:

Lots of wing flapping going on right now. Red Girl and Niecey are cousins, but don't know how the chicks would be related. Need to construct a family tree.

It must be raining in Wilmington. Looks like Red Girl at the entrance to the nest box. She resembles a drowned rat.

Looks like it's as windy in Wilmington as it is here in Harrisburg. Feathers are blowing around all over the place. One of the chicks was just slightly away from the pile looking up at Trinity standing on the ledge to the box entrance.

Two of the chicks are out away from the pile exploring the nest box. And now two more down there! And now all down at the end of the nest box!!
