Thanks for the report Jane. So glad that you were able to go there and help with the watch. Amazing that the one chick flew to where the other one was. Pretty good. :egg19:

Wouldn't mind if the other two stayed put a bit.
Haven't checked the cam at all today.

I just checked the cam and found two falcons in the nest box. Surely one is Little Red and the other one is the lone female. Thinking about them today and about the watchers keeping their eyes on them.

Read a post of Facebook a bit ago regarding the two juvies that have fledged. They are both on a building right next to the nest building. Nice safe spot. Two are still in the nest box. A little while ago Red Girl brought in some prey, which was promptly snatched by the young female. Red Girl left and returned very quickly with another small prey, which she ate. Little Red was not happy about that and was biting his mother's wing.

"Here’s a picture showing where the falcons are currently and where they’ll probably spend the night.
The two adults are to the right, one kid is under the box and another to the left.
The two that haven’t fledged yet are still inside the box.
Thanks for the pic Angie!
And thanks to everyone who helped with the fledge watch today!!!"

Thanks so much for posting that picture, Loza. I read a little while ago that Red Girl's female fledged safely this morning a little before 6:00. She landed on a building that is to the left of the nest building, (the Brandywine Building) in this picture. Little Red is looking out, but not sure if he'll take off or not. He might be able to see that building from where he's standing.

I see a part of him lying there now facing outward. Glad they are doing well!

I'm thinking of all of those folks watching over the young falcons down there in Wilmington. There is almost zero shade up there on that garage roof. And I see Little Red is now pancaked on the ledge. Probably pretty warm down there, but there is a breeze.

Thanks, Dave. Any updates from today? I've been watching Little Red quite a bit today. He had a food delivery around 5:00 this afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised if he wings it tomorrow.

Our female who fledged this morning spent all day running back and forth along the balcony level of Nemours. She finally flew in the evening, spending a short while on the Courtyard Mariott, then failing in an attempt to fly to the Brandywine Building, She found safe refuge on the roof of the elevator penthouse of the fledge watch parking lot, wherer we left her at dark. The two boys who fledged previously have graduated from fledge watch and now fly, glide, and land very well. They even chased Red Girl when she was bringing in food.

Little Red hasn't fledged yet. Black, the female, flew this morning and the last report I had she was on a big wide window ledge on a building next to the Brandywine (nest) Building. Kudos to those watching in Wilmington.

Little Red was quite active this morning, but is now pancaked. He's about four days younger than the others, and not quite ready yet. He has a good bit of fluff on his butt, but on Friday when watching the other two males, they also had a fair amount of fluff. Each time they preened, more fluff came out.

Thanks for the picture of Little Red, Nancy. He still hasn't worked up the courage to fledge yet, and I see he's in the box for the night. According to a Facebook post I saw about half an hour ago, his sister Black is sitting on a window ledge on what had been a bank building. There's a picture on Facebook, but I don't know how to share it here.

Thanks for sharing that link, SWINWK. I understand that Black (female) flew safely this morning from that spot to a building to the left of the nest (Brandywine) building. Little Red is pancaked on the ledge right now. I would imagine it's very humid in Wilmington this morning, with rain likely.
