I noticed that the pile had shifted to the other end of the box this morning. They are exploring!

Note that the chick over on the left isn't interested. He must have eaten his fill on a previous feed.

That is so cute, catwoman, the four watching the other chick flapping.

We have a couple of screamers here.

They all move to the other end expecting food, I guess.

I watched a video posted on Facebook yesterday. Trinity came into the box to visit with his "little ones" and had to figure out how to get outta there. Pretty sure at least two of those chicks are girls.

Saw a video on Facebook yesterday of one of the chicks trying to get up on the ledge. It didn't get up there, but it was close. Right now all are sacked out. Looks like it's really windy in Wilmington.

Red Girl's chicks were banded this afternoon. I do not know the results. Needless to say, when the chicks were taken inside the building Red Girl was a little more than upset. She has calmed down now, and the chicks don't quite what to make of it.

About 15 minutes ago one of the chicks hopped up on the ledge in front of the nest box. I am having trouble keeping the cam running.

Hey Jane, I saw the Trinity event too, looked like they were all lined up to block him.

I might have a picture of that somewhere.

Just read elsewhere that there is some sort of connection problem with the cams, and hopefully will be corrected tomorrow.

I learned the gender of Red Girl's chicks a bit ago. Four females and one male. I have no idea which one, but Trinity was conducting a private feeding for one of them on the ledge earlier this afternoon. From the size, I'd guess it was the male, who has blue tape.
