There have been two separate food deliveries within the past half hour. First was a small songbird, which was promptly grabbed by one of the chicks. The second may have been a Mourning Dove, which Niecey fed to three of them on the point. Right now one is asleep in the scrape and the other three standing on the fat part of the stick. It looks like the sun may make an appearance here after a while.

Lil Dad brings in prey, but one of the girls manages to take it from him
Poor baby doesn't even try to get it.
Later he goes over to Lil' Dad to complain.

Great captures, ljames. I was watching when all of that went on. Those two girls took the food into the scrape and worked on it for quite a while. Yellow eventually got some of it, but White struck out on that feeding.

Well I see they found the shade of the orange pole. All napping up there. Niecey on the shield with wings out. Weather is beautiful today. Rain again tomorrow.

Niecey just flew in and took the leftovers from one of the kids and took off with it.

Tuned in a bit ago to find a feeding underway. All four allowed Niecey to beak feed them, and nobody stole the food. Now they're scattered all over the ledge. One near the point, two at the orange post, and White (I think) screaming at Niecey on the stick. Glorious weather here today.

A feeding was underway when I tuned a little while ago. Yellow (I think) stood on the fat part of the stick the entire time, but perhaps had already eaten. After the feeding there were lots of wing stretches and major flapping. That white downy fluffy is disappearing.

I was looking at that yesterday too, and thought to myself, some things remain the same.

Was wondering where you've been. I don't do face book. I am totally amazed how much they change color overnight. They need to loose some of that fluff off their legs so we can see their bands better. I guess that's coming soon though. They are just so cute.
