Congratulations! Will you post pictures when the time allows? :loveheart2:

She's signaled for a twofer and keeps looking back @ him, but he's been preening. He's on the point and she's on the stick. After calling and signaling 2-3 more times, she gives up and moves to the nest, then outside the front door to pebble-pick and back to the nest and is lying down as I leave. Lil Dad remains on the point @ 12:29 EDT.

She seems to be hanging around more today. Maybe overnight we may see an egg. She's know to lay eggs on the weekend. Getting impatient. Wilmington has 5!!!!

I remember seeing the pic you are talking about and counted the eggs same as you, because it did look as if there could be 6 Heida. But, I had the luxury of seeing only 4 eggs yesterday afternoon and knew there could only be 5. I think that 6th object was a rock or something. :16val: Terka took a new pic for clarification.

:15heartbeat: Lil Dad's so sweet! I thought he was going to eat that prey near the stick, while she watched from afar @ first, but he flew around and delivered it to her near the point. "I bring food present, so you don't have to hunt, you can lay eggs without a worry in the world!!" :15heartbeat:

Edit to add: Thanks for your vid and pics, Loza. I missed the mating, I did not come in till he was @ the stick with the food.

Looks like Niecey will spend the night incubating the gravel. Maybe she'll have a surprise for us in the morning.

Nice to have you back Jane. Wow, 5 different kinds of falcons? How wonderful.

Well Niecey stood up about 30 minutes ago. I was starting to worry about her lying down for so long. So now I'm worried about her just standing there. :12val:

Anyway, hope this means an egg is on the way. Good luck sweet heart.

:15heartbeat: I'm thinking the 16th is our lucky day based on her behaviors and patterns from last season in comparison to now. It may even take till evening, but still. I think last year she laid her 1st egg shortly after eating, so if she doesn't lay an egg through the night and Lil Dad delivers a meal ... look out! There's an update from the "Falcon Wire":

3/15/2019 :: Egg Watch Continues
So far, the female falcon (48/AE) of the Rachel Carson State Office Building has yet to lay any eggs -- though many times it has appeared she would. The date a falcon will begin laying can vary year to year. This specific female has successfully laid 20 eggs since she began breeding in downtown Harrisburg in 2013. Since that time, she has laid three eggs that weren't viable and did not hatch. With this kind of track record, it's just a matter of time. There is a condition referred to as egg bound, which occurs when the female is unable to pass the egg through the ovaduct and successfully lay it. With 48/AE's past history of successful nesting, it is likely that egg laying will proceed normally. DEP staff are diligently watching for the appearance of the first egg. Stay tuned!

I'm having troubles with all the cams except cam 1 ... the others I'm getting the "COD"! As I leave @12:38 EDT, Niecey is standing in the front door facing us. :15heartbeat:

At 5:32 EDT I am unable to see Niecey within view on any cam.
