He's back to the nest and Niecey to the stick. He's bowing from the nest. Will there be another mating?

Lil Dad left for the night @ 7:33 where he had been since mating with Niecey. And Niecey remains on the egg. Thanks for pointing out the discrepancies between the cam clocks here, bev. Think I'll go back to using my computer time even though it is ahead slightly of the stick clock. I believe we are seeing the action in real time from cam to cam, even though the individual cam clocks are off.

:16val: I came in and found Lil Dad on the stick and Niecey on the egg. She left a few minutes ago and Lil Dad is now on duty standing in the nest with his egg beside him!

From "Falcon Wire":

3/19/2019 :: First egg!
At around 7:30 p.m. on March 18, the female falcon laid the first egg! The female meticulously prepared the scrape for eggs by making a well-rounded depression in the gravel base. Typically, the female lays an egg at one to two day intervals. The first and second egg should get occasional incubation time. When the third egg arrives, the incubation time should increase. The full clutch, 3-5 eggs, will be warmed continuously until hatching begins. The entire incubation period lasts for 32 to 35 days. The female will do most of the sitting on the eggs; the male will sit for approximately 30% of the incubation time. The male will increase his hunting efforts to provide food for both of them.

Lil Dad had moved to the shield and Niecey was on the point with lots of calling between. I have trouble with the cams getting the "COD" now frequently between them as I try to follow. I notice this for me early in the mornings and in the eves for several minutes just before the IR is about to switch on or off. I only caught a quick glimpse of one of them stepping into the nest and assume it is Niecey, but don't know for sure.

I'm a bit late getting tuned in this morning. Found Niecey on the point having breakfast. Today should be the second egg, but perhaps it will be in early evening or overnight. Time will tell.

:flirty: Came in and found Lil Dad guarding his egg in the nest. Soon he strolled out and went to the fat part of the stick to preen. Age does not affect him as he remains "the cutie pie" of all cutie pies!!
