How sweet. Lil Dad just walked in the scrape and they had a nice conversation. I guess he wanted on the eggs and she said no so he's now on the stick. :10val: :10val:

It starting raining here about an hour ago. Thought it was to be morning showers. At any rate, Little Dad has been up on the shield for quite some time, at some times SOUND asleep with his head tucked in. It's in the 50s here, and despite the rain, birds are quite active at my feeders.

I am unable to get any of the cams. It says: "HD Offline" on all 4 for me. Just prior I did see Niecey stand to change positions on the eggs and did not see Lil Dad on any of the cams. Found this on "Falcon Wire":

3/25/2019 :: We have a third, and a fourth, egg!
On Saturday, March 23, at 1:45 AM, the female peregrine falcon (48/AE) laid a third egg. This suggested that another egg would arrive late Sunday or early Monday. Indeed, that has been the case. A fourth egg was laid this morning, March 25, sometime around 9:00 AM!
The biological literature suggests that the female peregrine lays her eggs at two to three-day intervals, until her clutch has three to five eggs, with four the typical number. She shares the duties of incubation with her mate for approximately 31 days. Since this female has produced four eggs 11 times in the last 16 years, it suggests that she has laid her last egg of 2019. That is by no means a guarantee ... PA Falcon Cam followers should continue to visit to determine if a fifth egg is coming!

:7val: Thanks to Beth for the cam links! I had never seen the HD on Tap one and never knew there was a chat for this nest. Haven't gone all the way through, but right now they are calling Lil Dad ... Papa. And thanks to all of you for your pics! As I left, Lil Dad is on his eggs and I did not see Niecey.

It's not unusal for Niecey not to be seen after she lays her eggs. I was just going to comment on how much she has been on the eggs. I can remember when she first came here she had on clue what to do. Lil Dad has taught her it all. He is a great mate. :loveheart:

And also most important, Lil Dad loves siting on the eggs when he can. :teehee: :teehee:

Just watched Niecey come in for the night shift. She was in Little Dad's face for about five minutes before he reluctantly got off the eggs and went out the back door. He went over to the point to preen. Not sure if the rain has quit or not.

I wasn't here for Lil Dad's departure tonight. Niecey is lying on her eggs facing us.

:15heartbeat: I came in earlier this morning and found Lil Dad already lying on his eggs, so I missed out on the nest exchange this morning. Niecey has just now arrived to the stick @ 6:57 EDT and no sooner has she landed and Lil Dad is off the eggs and we have a mating!! She is now on the eggs and he flew!!

Edit to add: At about 7:14, Lil Dad arrived to the point with a gift for Niecey that she flew down to snatch away and take off with. He has since moved to the stick. At 7:17 she is back to the point. She must have stashed that gift for later. Eventually, he flew and she is on the eggs again. Still no Lil Dad as I leave @ 8:00.
9:11 A quick check-in finds Lil Dad on the stick with Niecey lying on the eggs!

Eggs are unattended right now, but Little Dad was there about five minutes ago. I was reading something elsewhere on this forum and didn't see him leave. Will keep watching. And Niecey returned while I was typing this.

Glad things are peaceful here. Was checking the Hanover eagles and they have on their chat page at the beginning a countdown timer to the second for the first pip watch, which is April1 or 2. Never saw that before. Very interesting.

Little Dad just came into the scrape making soft sounds to Niecey. She got off the eggs, and he is there now. He had a little trouble figuring out the best position to sit there. Bright sunshine today, but it's only in the low 40s here.

At 1:49 Niecey returned and Lil Dad flew. She got on the eggs and while I was searching for Lil Dad to return to the point or stick, I caught him flying toward the U and then looping back, but he did not land. At least not within cam view. She's lying on the eggs facing us from the stick cam as I leave.

Both there now. One on the stick and one on the eggs. Love the togetherness. :7val:

Niecey was on the eggs and I heard Lil' Dad, I thought something was wrong, but Niecey left the nest and Lil' Dad was cleaning his beak on the stick. Niecey is on the U point, bottom one and appears to be eating. Lil' Dad is not on the eggs, though. Gosh, I hope they aren't expecting more.
