Thanks for the pictures and video, Loza. Niecey is on the stick doing her best to cool off. It was 98 degrees here this afternoon. Relief is coming tomorrow with some storms. Actually looks like it could storm now, but maybe it's because it's getting dark. And Little Dad is in the scrape!

Niecey and Lil Dad are home and Niecey wants to mate!!

:5val: I had been watching Niecey on the stick for awhile and was surprised to see Lil Dad fly right over her and go to the nest at 8:23. As he flew over, Niecey bowed her head downward and flicked her tail upward as she does to signal a mating. However Lil Dad flew at 8:51 after preening and bowing to Niecey for extended periods without coming back to mate. Niecey remained on the stick for awhile and she left while I was posting this.

Niecey spent quite a bit of time in the scrape after my last post. And then a juvie was on the ledge on the fat part of the stick, and another falcon over on the U roof. Nobody in sight now, and we're going to get a bunch of rain here in an hour or so.

Niecey is sitting in front of the scrape, and Little Dad is on the point. MUCH cooler and less humid here today.

And she is still in the same position! I went outside at 5 this morning and wished I had a jacket on! It's a real treat for the Canadian air here during the "dog days of summer" as we usually do not see at this time of the year. Unfortunately, we do see the "Alberta Clippers" during the winter months and they are not a treat!!

I've been watching a juvie on the stick for quite a while, and haven't been able to make an ID.

Niecey is on the front shield with her back to Harrisburg, but she's keeping an eye on it over her right shoulder!

Tuned in to find Niecey in the scrape this morning. She flew off about a minute ago. Nice refreshing cool air this morning.

Tuned in a bit ago to find Little Dad on the point. He then went into the scrape and stayed for several minutes, but is now gone.

Just tuned in to find Niecey working on her dinner on the point. I hope to make a spin downtown after dinner tonight. Perfect weather today.

:teehee: Was at another site and heard a juvie flyby from here. Rushed back in to find Niecey "feaking" on the point and cleaning her talons ... so, I am assuming she was able to finish her meal in peace. Could not find the juvie on any of the cams.

Well, now I'm really confused. When I got downtown a little after 7:00 I was CERTAIN I was seeing Little Dad on the point and Niecey on the mini ledge on the 13th floor below the nest ledge. The falcon on 13 was really going to town on its meal. After quite some time that falcon took off and chased who I thought was Little Dad, and he flew over to the top of Pennsylvania Place. Decided to look at the falcon on the point with my phone and was quite surprised to see it was a very well fed juvie! I tried and tried with my phone to make an ID on the juvie, but could never come up with anything positive. I thought it was White at first, but the feet didn't look yellow to me. Regardless, I was pleased that I'm now able to walk well enough to get myself downtown. This might be my last look at a juvie, for I'm going to be out of town for about a week, and I suspect they'll be gone for good when I return.

:5val: Lil Dad has returned to the point and Niecey is in the nest on the threshold!! I really suspect some of the juvies have already dispersed. You just don't get to see or hear them as you used to and Niecey and Lil Dad are getting more time on the nest or ledge without interruption.

I was just about to post regarding the late departures tonight. I'm wondering if they're roosting on the louver ledges behind 333 Market. When I was down there last night I noticed quite a bit of poop under those ledges.
