Niecey is on the stick and Red is lying down with her head at the back door. The 2 boys remain at the column. And Red went back toward the column now.

White got his graduation cap this morning, first flying to the roof of an apartment building about two blocks away. He returned to the nest ledge briefly, and later was seen soaring with the adults. Sometimes it was hard to tell which one was him. Most of the day was then quiet until around 6:00 when White started flying around again, and FINALLY his brothers flew also, with nice HIGH flights above the Carson Building, and White and Yellow both on the top of 333 a couple times. It took Blue a little longer to work up the courage to fly, but he did well. At one point Niecey flew in with a pigeon she had caught, and White tried to grab it from her in mid air. Such an awesome thing to watch. Red has still not worked up the courage to fly again, and hopefully she will tomorrow. When I left Red, White, and Yellow were on the ledge at the column area. Blue was pancaked on the cubby over the ledge.

:eggthumb: That's great Jane, glad White is doing so well! Thanks for identifying the boys on the ledge as we were wondering. Maybe Red will try again when she sees her brothers taking off in the morning.

Red Girl has flown this morning and I missed it. They are reporting she is 14 stories up and blocks down the street. I just saw one here with their back to me and it is one with a transmitter.

I've been gone for awhile, but each time I've checked since this morning, I am seeing nor hearing anyone ... Just hoping somebody shows up to sleep tonight and of course that all remain safe!

:teehee: Well someone came home!! They were talking to Niecey who is out on the stick, but they ran off toward and to the other side of the column! Hope they stay for the night and come back around.

Was watching Niecey in the nest, then she decided to hop up to the front shield. See that 3 of the kids are by the column and wonder if it's the boys. I have not seen any info on Red since this morning. Hoping she is okay.

Shortly after I arrived at 6:00 this morning Red took off and wound up on the roof of a bank about two blocks away. She stayed there for several hours, and flew back in our direction, but we did not see where she was despite searching everywhere. We did periodic checks around the immediate area, but found nothing. Don't remember what time, but we were overjoyed early this evening to see FOUR juvies. She must have flown to the top of 333 when nobody saw her. There was a mid air food transfer between Little Dad and one of the boys. He missed, and Little Dad caught the prey again. Two of the boys were playing tail tag above Market Street. When I left three juvies had returned to the nest ledge, and one was still over on the top of 333. They spent very little time on the roof of the Carson Building today. Not happy with a rainy weather forecast for Monday.

:dancingegg: Thanks, Jane! That is great news and it sounds as if Red is doing well!! I guess she did not fly as far away as 1st reported this morning. Glad the boys are doing well, also! Stay safe falcons and watchers!!

One juvie is crouched on the fat part of the stick on this rainy morning.

Back home from early morning watch. Before I got there I understand Blue had a nice flight to the roof of the tall apartment building a few blocks away, and then returned to the ledge. Around 7:30 Niecey brought in a pigeon and was beak feeding Blue on the point. I see him now via the cam a little ways out on the stick. His siblings are across the street on the top of 333. Little Dad was on the camera perch when I left, and not sure where Niecey was. It is a cool rainy morning here, and there will probably not be much flying around. Today is likely to be the last day of official watches since we know they are flying well.

Thanks, Jane! Not seeing anyone for now. Maybe some will return to spend the night again at the column ...

Oh heck, none of the juvies are here! I don't think they will fly in this late. Probably will stay in place, where ever they are. Maybe Niecey and Lil Dad will show up to bond. If not I wonder if Niecey will show up tonight. She's left sometimes in the late eve and not shown up before I've gone to bed, but I am unsure if she stays away the rest of the night or returns.

Back home after the night shift. There was some flying around between 333 and the Carson Building, but the weather is NOT good for flights. Might be good for building flight muscles, though. Around 7:30 two of the males wound up in the balcony above the nest ledge. They used the milk crate stair steps to get out. One of them had a nice flight to a high apartment building about two blocks away. He returned to the top of 333 briefly before flying over to sit on top of the column with two of the others, one which we could tell was Red because of her size. The other male on the balcony railing flew to the roof of the Carson Building just as I was leaving. He might join his siblings for the night.

Thanks for your report, Jane!! Glad they are all accounted for!! Niecey has been in the nest talking and now at the front door. It sounds like the talk she does when talking to Lil Dad, so I think he is nearby and I just can not see him. She's on the front shield now. I was at another site when I heard the chatter and expected to come in and see them bonding, but I didn't.

Yes, I see Niecey on the shield. The juvies are right over her head on top of the column, so maybe that's what she talking to. Brought my hummingbird feeder inside for overnight and discovered that it's raining pretty good, so the juvies are getting even wetter than they were.
