Came in @ 5:22 EDT, Niecey is lying on the eggs and Lil Dad is on the point clutching a gift for her in his right talon. They are silent. Finally @ 6:34 there is action. Niecey left the nest and flew to the point and claimed her gift. Lil Dad flew from the point and up and down the street before landing back on the ledge near the nest. He went into the nest and is lying on the eggs. Niecey has not returned as yet. She returns to the stick @ 7:06 and is wiping her beak on it. Niecey walked into the nest @ 7:30 and they chatted, but Lil Dad did not get up. She went to the edge of the ledge and dove off and flew to the point. She flew from the point 2 minutes later.

I just watched Terka's video. That is something like what Niecey was doing on the point the other day, but she did it for a longer time. She does some strange things at times. I've seen her all spread eagle in front of the scrape already when she SHOULD be on eggs. Little Dad is there now. The overnight rain showers have about quit, but it's very gloomy at the moment. Sun is to come out later today with temps in the low 50s.

Jane! Niecey returned to the eggs @ 8:50 and Lil Dad to the point.

Edit to add: Just checking back in before I leave and Lil Dad is lying on the eggs and I do not see Niecey @ 11:30.

At 4:31, Niecey lands on the point and Lil Dad is lying on the eggs. Then 3 minutes after landing, Niecey flies up and straight toward us and I believe she has landed on the point cam!! After quite some time had passed, I found Niecey is @ the nest door for the exchange and Lil Dad goes to the point. Coming in @ 6:25, I find Lil Dad on the nest again and do not see Niecey. At 6:30, I find Niecey has returned to the point. Niecey goes to the nest and stands in the doorway @ 7:04 and asks Lil Dad to leave, but he doesn't! :teehee:

By 7:13, she'd had enough and moved into the nest and very strongly, asks him to leave, but he doesn't! Finally after a minute or so of intimidation, Lil Dad slips out the back door and she positions herself over the eggs. And @ 7:15, he shows up on the point. He left for the night @ 7:41.

At 4:37 EDT, Niecey is lying on her eggs and I do not see Lil Dad yet. He arrives to the point with vocals @ 6:21! Nest exchange @ 6:39 and Niecey flew. Niecey returned to the stick @ 7:18. At about 8:04, Niecey walked into the nest and attempted an exchange, but Lil Dad did not comply. She walked back out to the ledge and then flew returning to the point a minute later. I came back in @ 8:40 when I heard vocals and found Niecey gone, but Lil Dad remains on the eggs. No changes as I leave @ 8:48. :spring1:

Came in and found Niecey lying on the eggs and Lil Dad sunning himself on the fat part of the stick! :spring1:

I've had company since yesterday, and didn't get to post anything. Had to drop a friend off at the train station downtown this morning. Found Niecey sitting on the point when I was down there around 9:20. Couldn't stick around as I had to go to an appointment. Little Dad is on the eggs right now.

Got a note from a friend who works downtown, and can see the end of the nest ledge from the building where she works. Over her lunch break she was looking out a window and saw one of the falcons nail a Red-tailed Hawk in the back. The hawk was above the Carson Building, and got the message that it was not welcomed in the area, so it moved on.

Thought I'd made it through the day without being April fooled, but Lil Dad got me while ago! I came running in to the point @ 7:35 to try and catch him before he left for the night, but no Lil Dad! I thought, "Oh shoot ... I missed him tonight!" So, I went to the stick cam to check on Niecey in the nest. Then @ 7:40, I heard screaming ... rushed to the point ... and there's Lil Dad!! The Lil Booger flew @ 7:44!! :flirty:

At 6:16, Niecey is lying in the nest and Lil Dad is on the stick. Then @ 6:25 Lil Dad moves into the nest with cries and Niecey flies. She did not go to the point this morning.

Little Dad has been on the eggs since I first tuned in about 45 minutes ago. I would guess Niecey is over on her outpost at the U Building enjoying some R&R and also breakfast.

Just switch egg duty. a 3:20. Lot of chattering going on before hand didn't want to give up position.

Niecey is lying on her eggs. At 6:04, I heard vocals and came in just in time to see Niecey leaving the nest to meet Lil Dad on the ledge shown on cam 3, but d/t buffering only briefly saw 1 falcon standing there. I suspect Lil Dad was bearing a gift for her when he first came in, but I saw none of it. Lil Dad is on the nest and Niecey has yet to return. At 7:10, I notice Niecey is lying on the eggs and Lil Dad has arrived to the point. He is cleaning his talons.

Am seeing Little Dad on the point right now and Niecey on the eggs. I'll be downtown for a short while this afternoon to pick up my friend at the train station, and will have some time to look around before the train pulls in. My friend isn't very interested in birds, so when the train arrives that will be the end of falcon watching.
