Well Chad posted some pictures on FB, seems the female (new) has got into a fight. She is a bit messed up. I messaged Dawn (go to person) she forwarded it to her person there. Well long story short, Greg has a policy now.

Hey dawn this is your pain from Oshkosh nest I don't know if you still have anything to do with the nest, but there looks to have been a pretty bad fight today 2/22 maybe you can have one of your go to people look around. The new female is pretty messed up on her head and face, but she is still around. Thanks from all of us at the forum for anything you can do.

Thanks for letting me know about our female. I passed the information on to Misty McPhee, Associate Professor, Environmental Studies Program and Department of Biology. Since I am no longer a university employee, I don’t have “special privileges” like roof access. Also, the decision was made sometime last spring to have individuals with current IACUC Training handle the birds. I was originally trained in 1998 so I would have had to sit through the training again and since I was dealing with my husband’s cancer last year, I declined the training because I didn’t have the time. I will let you know if I hear anything back from Misty. I hope all is well with you!

I just heard from Misty - this is what she sent:

I checked in with Greg to find out what, if anything, is to be done for an injured bird. As I expected, he said that we do not intervene - we must let nature take its course. And I agree wholeheartedly. I'll let you share this information with Janice as you see fit.

Well I got as far as the unknown Falcon is either B/Bl or B/G, and the bottom is A. So I went and look and there are way to many to figure it out. :girlcrazy:
