EASTER EGG?
April 4, 2021 Easter Sonday
Did she lay another egg pre-dawn today?
4 am Aero perched on box, seemingly in a stupor
5 am Flash came in and laid on eggs

I do recall GSB Michele would go into kind of a stupor after she laid an egg. I've observed other falcons do that also.

6 -7 am was empty

7.02 am Flash with bird in the nest , departure with food

7.22 am empty is

I am disturbed. Aero was OFF the eggs at 4 am when I got up.
An hour later she was still off.
Flash warmed them then both left.
for 5 hours no one has been on the eggs very long.

Somebody (I think Aero) is incubating now. This nest (and Hamilton in Canada) always give us fits until we see little bobble heads poking up.

Aero was the 2020 female, so she's done this before.

Before dawn Aero was standing over eggs
After dawn she left and Flash incubated a couple hours
They still leave eggs uncovered for awhile

Flash incubated a pause, he comes back, then Aero and Flash again

Flash came in before sunrise with prey and offered it to Aero.
Aero posture on eggs appears different
Is an egg hatching?
The male typically brings prey to nest when he sees hatchling
He appears to be a happy Daddy - from what I can tell

Til we see Aero feeding a chick, we wont know. Frustrating.

Mill Creek and Chesapeake are first time Moms.
I think this pair have their first brood.
They act oddly
Its interesting but uncomfortable for me to watch the first couple days
