This morning before daybreak there were numerous killed prey in the box. I first thought one of the falcons was dead. I saw at least 4. I guess the male leaves the gifts in the box, doesn't know where the stash place is. Me either, When the chicks are fed, I would sometimes see mom go behind the divider to get the food.

Bev, I was watching yesterday too when there was clearly something tormenting the little male, He was so upset, I thought he'd have a heart attack , Is that possible?













Here's a couple of pictures. Don't know why they are small. The male was having such a time he landed at the nest and the female left to take over, I guess.

I have not had time to post any pictures but he was under attack yesterday.
the people at site must have known also as they pulled cam out so you could see fast diving past box and then male would leave, It was constant from rm about 3pm till dark.
I am so glad you were watching also. It started in morning, yesterday, but got worse as day went on.

I saw the mal e bring in prey a few times late, late night and early morning. He ate some, which he needed. the female was out of box a lot as male was under siege. I was afraid he would crack egg, but he seemed aware of it. When I got up this morning, I went back in tape before kids came and saw him bring in the prey she took out. He took it to behind that box cover to right, first.

He looks so much better today. He has eaten and doesn't look as ragged as yesterday. and he is helping with egg. I just had no time tape and what part would I. It was all frantic.

so hopefully, things finally settle

nice day yesterday. male was able to eat, and spend time with the egg.

we are looking for egg 2 here. she appears in labor right now but she is hard girl to read. quite the trickster
male has already had a nice feed in box.

awe I think he is just young. but he does incubate and is a good provider. He feeds himself at box also.

Thanks for the great pictures and videos. I was watching her earlier and thought for sure I would see an egg when she moved, but no, not then, but later. We are on our way to a great season here. Just got to knock off (run off) that intruder. I love this little male he is all over this falcon father thing. She seems to like him too and he is crazy about her. So far, so good. he's learning and is curious about every thing.


I took a picture of the two eggs. I sure hope everything works out for this nest site.

yes, something was bothering them but then it seemed to settle down

He brought food to the nest a couple of times but she blasted right by it.

Later there was disturbances that required their attention. I don't get it, if it's a male intruder and he can't get rid of him, wouldn't the female chase him off? Does that mean it's a female intruder?
I so want this nest to survive.

He is handsome for sure, but she is amazing.

I knew this was there last night. I watched her, but with it was too dark to see.

But I have gone back in tap and there they are.
