No hatch yet, but I just missed the best pic because my software froze. Dad brought food and mom tried her best to feed.....the eggs...they must be making some good noise. She is now incubating the 4 eggs AND a complete "dinner" bird!!

April 14, 2018 rain, nasty weather
It looks funny - cute - to see a bird trying to feed eggs,
but those eggs are their children - as REAL to them as our baby is to us.

There likely is LOTS of noise as 3 eggs have holes.
Do chicks breathe inside the egg before the pip?
How porous is an eggshell?

I know this female isnt the original Diana but I'll call her that anyway.
I wonder how old this pair is - and where they came from.
Normally I dont think the male brings prey to the nest til the first has hatched, or just hours before hatch. I am expecting 2 hatchlings when daylight comes - we'll see ....

Some years ago the female owl was away, and the male came with prey.
He tried to feed the eggs. Yeah - it is funny!

My guess is that they are,Shepherd.
The male is a good provider. Plenty of food coming in.
Breakfast started this morning at 6.13AM (camtime) and ended at 6.41AM.
All 3 chicks were well fed by mom.
Egg #4 hasn't hatched yet.
