https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/MIDOT/bulletins/24ef47e Copper Country Houghton-Hancock Portage Lift Bridge falcons named with Finnish words: Silta (bridge) - female Kesa (summer) - female Vesi (water) - male Lumi (snow) - male The band numbers for the females are 17/Z and 18/Z and the males bands are C/57 and C/62 (who's band is on upside down). It is not clear which band numbers go with which names. The Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge falcons are two females and one male (band numbers unknown) and named Bones (f), Zoey (f) and JC (m), named for John Collins, the first president of the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Chamber of Commerce. |

 WARREN - Blaze  Quote: ABOUT TODAY’S PEREGRINE FALCON BLAZE Blaze - Hatch Year female Peregrine Falcon was recaptured by Bob Hall-Brooks and Tim Jarrold at Lake Station at Holiday Beach CA. Blaze is the daughter of General Brock who hatched at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor. Originally, Blaze was banded by Terry McFadden (black/blue, 48/K), with the Michigan DNR at the nest at General Motors in Warren, MI. She was 885g at time of banding and about 20-22 days old. She ended up in rehab with Dave Hogan, but when he brought her back to Warren, the parents did not accept her. He took her back home, and then fostered her with a pair of peregrine falcons at the DTE Power Plant in Monroe, MI. | Grand Haven June 10, 2019 The end of an era by Alexander Sinn, Grand Haven Tribune A pair of fluffy, fiery falcon chicks living high above Harbor Island will be the J.B. Sims plant’s final residents. The two chicks, one male and one female, make 47 birds in all banded for research by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources at the Grand Haven site since 2001. The two new chicks were banded Friday morning at their home in a small nesting box midway up the stack.
