Thanks for telling me about RRP, Shephard. I see many of the same posts are there that are here. Here is the link to the Raptor Resource Project (RRP) site on the Orange, Australia peregrine falcons at CSU for those that don't have it: https://www.raptorresource.org/forum/index.php?topic=2288.135 . Should we just move to posting over on RRP if it's easier to load pictures there? I don't totally see the purpose in maintaining duplicate sites.

would hate to think you would not post here., Molly. this site has always been the go to for most people. I for one do not go onto RRp. too hard to follow.

none of the rest of us have problems posting pictures here

ARjen and loza have been cillias main sources and they are members of this forum.

when I get organized all my stuff will be here as always. ( I have another week of monitoring my falcons)

if you have problems with photos try postimage. it is great.

Great to see you checking in with us!! Several of us are members at both RRP and BCAW~obviously, I'm partial to BCAW...LOL...You are able to direct upload your pics to RRP (they post as thumbnails~which I'm not crazy about)...the reason that we currently don't do that on BCAW is because of a server storage issue. Embedded pics use up a whole lot more storage space than linked pics. There are several sites that make posting pics quite easy. Bev. suggested http://www.postimage.org

Another one that several of us are using is http://www.imgur.com.

Just let one of us know if we can help you in any way, and we'll be happy to give you a pic posting lesson.

:attention:

Can you explain "FORBBIDEN"? are you referring to posting on BCAW or are they having issues again with Virus software warnings when you try to access the Orange main page? (thankfully, I haven't gotten those this year)

BTW, both cams are down for me!! Boo hoo

Sept 21, 2017
I explained FORBIDDEN a few pages back.
Some of us cant get Cilla's blog.
BOTH cams are down for me now also

I saw a bonfire and flashlights Sept 20 and emailed Cilla -
whats happening out there?? She emailed me -

Quote:
There was an Aboriginal night sky ‘happening’ with school kids etc.

Thats all she said, so I googled that, it reminds me Sep 20-22 is Rosh HaShana which has to do with the night sky and Jewish new year. There are a bunch of predictions about Sept 23, some dire. I pulled a couple google links for anyone curious. I have no personal comment

Up and down
Published 22 September, 2017 | By Cilla Kinross
Everything seems to be working at present from my end, although I understand there are still live streaming problems. I’ve contacted Scott about this. In the box, all is going smoothly and I’m hoping to have some hatching by 25-28th September, which I can record if all the necessary equipment is functioning smoothly. Xavier did bring in some (unidentifiable) prey today, which is a good sign.

Image

Many thanks for all the photos and videos. No need to send more photos at present, but long low resolution videos from between 1300 h on 18th September to noon on 21st would be welcome so I can fill in some gaps. If there is a website where these are stored, please point me in the right direction. Don’t try and email them.

I just went through the volunteer’s work from the time I was in Brisbane and found this photo of Xavier with the eggs that I couldn’t resist. Such a good boy.

There’s going to be a university wide power outage tomorrow morning, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the system is down all weekend. Hopefully it will be up again before H day (possibly Monday).

Have a lovely weekend. Cilla
