Oh Pru, you poor thing! I hope you are feeling a bit better today and if not, here's something that might cheer you up :sfcheers: I really enjoyed reading about the history of :ausie Australia Day :ausie and viewing the traditional foods. Thanks for putting all of that together for us.

Just thought I would share this Aussie home video about a man trying to catch a Huntsman spider inside his home - it is sooooo funnee - it really cracked me up because we used to live in an area where we had these visitors quite often & oh man, they really are FAST & very tricky to catch! A real Aussie experience for Australia Day ...

And, oh yeah - my head is still hurting with a kind of tension headache even 3 days after the accident - is that normal???

Just to be safe Pru you should see a doctor.
A headache for 3 days doesn't sound good

Off to check your video...

Yes I was just thinking that too Beth - so if I still wake up with the headache tomorrow I will definitely go the docs (no doctors open today due to the holiday & I sure wouldn't fancy sitting in a hospital Casualty waiting area for hours & hours today :x )

Cute vid isn't it - I luv how you can hear the little "camera" girl telling Daddy at the end "you shouldn't play with spiders Daddy" ... :laugh

:omg Pru, that spider is HUGE! Reminds me of a tarantula.

I also think you should see a doctor, Pru, about that headache.

I agree - on the spider and on seeing the doctor if your headache is still around in the morning. Please keep us posted!

Hi again :sfwave:

just thought I would let you know that I did end up going to see an After Hours Doctor yesterday as I was getting pretty worried about how I was feeling - and I am so glad I did as he was able to advise me that my brain seemed fine (!) but said I should have a CT scan in the next few days just to see if any bones in my face were cracked - and that I probably just needed a much stronger pain killer - so he gave me a prescription for Panadeine Forte (it's got Codeine in it) - well, within a matter of 30 minutes I felt sooooo much better - ha ha! I just didn't realize how much pain I was in - and this morning, right now, I can tell my head is feeling better - phew! - but it sure doesn't look better - :o - I try not to look in mirrors, or go out shopping, too much.

Pru, I'm so relieved to read that you went to the dr. and will be getting a CT scan . . . just to make sure. :sfthumbs: Maybe if Mr. Pru kisses the boo-boo, it will feel even better . . . ?

That's a sweet thought :loveheart: SusanE ... however ... it looks so nasty I don't think he would know where to kiss anymore!

Ha ha! I am going to give him yr advice SusanE - for a few more kisses!

And you got it right  ! - his first instrument is guitar then comes double bass then cello then violin.

Looking forward to seeing the results of that CT scan when I see the doc again tomorrow - my head still doesn't feel good inside - which reminds me I need to take one of those pain killers ... :sprint

OK - I finally got the results of those CT scans as I had to go to the hospital yesterday due to more bleeding & yes, apparently there are fractures all on the left side of my face - under the eye & the cheekbone - so now the doc put me on Amoxycillin & referred me to a facial specialist, which thankfully is on Monday.

I don't like gardening any more! :x

OH PRU! I am so sorry to hear that your injury is causing you internal bleeding! I just want to "beam" myself over there and give you a big hug. Please rest and be very careful! My prayers are with you for a quick solution. If you should need to go into the hospital, is there a family member who can give us a report?
