The female Annia (it is assumed it is her as no one has seen her on the eggs since that morning) was found injured on April 3. Nothing broken apparently but she did have [some] blood in her mouth. Today the 4 eggs have been collected to be placed in an incubator, and replaced with artificial eggs so the male will stay bonded to the nest/site. It is possible that the female can be released within a few days. If she does go back to incubating, together with the male, they are planning to put eyases back if the eggs hatch. |
