Good news is that the ptz camera was reset this morning
and I managed to get this really intimate shot of Tom and Charlie mating this afternoon.
I don't think I have shared one before where Charlie's cloaca is as visible.
Other good news is that they're back mating on the ledge again.
We've already passed the date the first egg was laid in 2018 and 2017 (17 March),
how many more days will Charlie wait for...?

Still no egg... They worked hard on it today with 5 matings on the ledge (2 of which I witnessed from the ground). Other thing I witnessed today is an intruder which landed on the cooling tower being mobbed by Tom while Charlie was circling above.
Lots of shots from the past few days.
2 things of note:
- Tom has taken to go and roost inside the nest box the last 3 nights. This morning he arrived at 1:53 and left at 3:41. Charlie was on her roosting spot by the wall and joined him for a courtship display inside the box. Previous 2 nights he arrived around 3am and left around 5:30am. I have never seen this before. Bonkers! ;)
- Tom brought a Nuthatch yesterday, a Chaffinch the day before, House Sparrows before that. I don't know if this is a courtship thing or if they eat that many small birds outside the breeding season...
Now, will there be an egg tomorrow morning...?
