u of A may12 if you have been watching and heard lots of aircraft traffic, the military are practicing emergency maneuvers, with helicopters, at the site for a few days. Remember net box is adjacent to the hospital. more to come we are going down to Weber and U o f A in a few minutes to make sure all is fine. Never take anything for granted. |

U of A may18 well hopefully the military training with chopper is done. It was very loud and annoying. ours was not cancelled like Hamilton, but then we do not have chicks yet. things are going well. They are hanging our by Jeans more this year. good for us. I will have some pictures to share this weekend. we just watch now, to make sure we have shift changes and everyone is normal. Chase loves his time with eggs. Not like when he first came in. Thus his name( Radisson had to chase him in to get him to incubate and stay with eggs  )chase  yesterday  this morning radisson  chase

bell may18 things are going well, now that window washers have finished. Hopefully no more disruptions WE believe we have same male and female but will not say for sure. without being able to read bands ???? a few years back, they would zoom in, if I asked and we could get a band read. an exchange this morning may18 male leaving , female coming in form side  both of female

u of a may24 this is from May21, when a pigeon dropped by. radisson pardoned it  may24. chase brings a present  so far so good. we have had 3 falcons in area, but hopefully just a floater. they are holding their own. |

may26 U of A well cam is off line. I guess birds take holidays on weekends. I love how they come up with, cam is under scheduled maintenance, when these things happen  nope, just no one there to fix it. so we can only do what we can do. I know approx hatch dates , which are not for awhile yet, and if need be , we monitor for signs form ground. Prey being brought in, forfeeds. my time is limited this year, so will do what we can, when we can. |

may29Bell 3 eggs from this morning  yesterday we lost an egg at Bell. not sure what really happened, but it could have been the extreme heat we had or it was not viable and the heat caused it to explode. but whatever happened, our female ate most of contents, her e is the event as it unfoldedmay28 3:15pm- female had been fussing and eating around eggs since about 3:15pm https://youtu.be/QBMn2IAwnis 4:10- F stands and starts eating around egg again 4:13- 4 eggs showing 4:22starts eating g around eggs and 4 show again 4:30pm - M arrives at S ledge with food. F leaves and M comes into box and starts eating and fussing with eggs 4:37pm- he carries out larger(about) 2/3 of shell f returns and cleans up some more around remaining g eggs https://youtu.be/dhKXBIOxx48 here is a picture of male carrying out egg. in video you can see egg is empty.

mis may30 I will post a pciutre and video later but if anyone came in saw her incubating, that was prey she had beside her. everything is o.k. edit ot add photos bringing in prey  what a mess there will be a vidoe  gets up and moves prey to several places and finally back left corner
