Hello all,

seems this is the first post. Just a quick question: I've seen just a few minutes ago (from 17:56UTC to 17:20UTC aprox) one of the bald eagles eating something in the nest. It looked like he/she was pulling feathers from "the victim". Is it possible that what he/she was eating was a bird?

Regards from Spain,

JL

I just took this photo and didn't see anyone at the nest...
It could be a bird jlroc...
I do believe Eagles eat birds, bunnies, and more feathered critters
.

Hi Beth,

you can see a dark grey area at about 1 or 2 o'clock position in the nest, and those are the feathers I saw this afternoon.

Regards and thanks for the message!!

JL

Welcome jlroc! :wavingsnowgirl: Glad to see you here, and thank you so much for your nest observations. I've been looking in on this nest periodically but had not seen anyone there.

Thanks to everyone for the shots today as it looks like this nest will be more active now.

They can be sneaky sometimes, can't they ? Just like Scout earlier this evening. It looked as if nothing was there. But all of a sudden her beak came in view for a short moment.
