Video: Wing Flapping and a Food Drop

Food drop! Serious tweets & bleats as Solo warns Mom to keep her distance from his food.

Mom later beak fed Solo, which he seemed to enjoy.

Thanks, beans. The beak feeding is so sweet and personal.

Video: Solo Dines in Solitary Splendour

I recorded this clip yesterday and made the video today. Our new TV arrived yesterday and it took all afternoon to set up the wireless to the TV, figuring out the magic code that would allow the TV and router “to be friends.”

Video: Farewell Sidney Bald Eagles

And a second version with no music, for those who prefer only the natural sounds at the nest

Video: Farewell Sidney Bald Eagles – no music

What a thrilling season this has been! We’ve had a progressively blurry cam and “striped curtains,” but Solo has fledged and is happily flying with his parents. How lucky we are to have a talented ground crew which will continue to film the eagles until they have left for the salmon runs.

At 7:15 PM, the nest looks like an Impressionist painting

close-up cam is now working. This screenshot has not been altered in any way -- the color and clarity of the cam are excellent.

Excellent video, beans. It was fun to watch them moving that huge stick around and then "arguing" about where the smaller one should go.
