The eaglet has been ringed and no longer looks like a wee one.

I have a recorded clip, and maybe I'll put together a video tomorrow. It's almost midnight here, and I think I'll call it a day (or night).

Video: Parent Brings a Fresh Branch to the Nest

A hot day in Johannesburg – the eaglet is panting. Shortly after the parent left, another delivery was made.

(I recorded this late last night)

How funny. I wonder what the reason was for that branch with leaves. :hohumsun:

Perhaps for something soft to sit on? This nest appears to be on the side of a cliff.

Lesser Spotted Eagle, Latvia:

Video: My Beautiful Feathers

How this eaglet has changed!

Guste was weighed on 17th July when he was ringed (banded): 1575g

1575 g = 3.47228 lb
OR 3 lb and 7.55 oz

Video: I’m Up Early!

Recorded around 5:30 in the morning, local time. Toward the end of the video, note the little bird that flies up to the branch over Guste.
