Video: Mom Comforts Delta

Mom flew in and spent time with Delta. Although Delta is certainly old enough to feed herself, Mom fed her during the visit. She stayed until Delta lay down for a nap. When a bird's crop is full, it is natural for her to lie down and digest her food.

An observer of this nest cam reported a number of fish were delivered today. Adequate nutrition and exercise are paramount to Delta's ability to fledge. We hope that will be soon.

Delta hops up to the top branches at 4:35. From her lofty perch, she can survey all around her. At 5:19 she comes back down to the nest.

Video: Charlie & Delta Fly from the Nest

Delta fledged this morning! Both were at the nest later today. Here they are together. One takes off (Charlie?), followed a few minutes later by Delta.

Delta is bouncing on the branch. When Charlie tries to land next to her, there simply isn't room for both of them!

Video: Camera Cleaning at White Rock Eagle Nest

For those of you who missed this (or would like to see it again), here’s the tree climber doing a thorough job of cleaning the camera lenses. The wide angle cam certainly picks up the noise of the vacuum cleaner!

Thank you for the video beans. I like the spider across the lens. I never would have thought that cleaning the wide angle cam like that would work- cool!

In the past, the lenses have been cleaned with soft clothes and Windex. I don't think the tree climber could reach the lenses without using the vacuum cleaner. I believe someone remarked that the area around the tree had been landscaped. Thus, no crane.

I just heard from a video maker that David Hancock doesn't want White Rock videos uploaded to YouTube due to copyright concerns. I went to their forum and couldn't find any notices about it. I think my video friend might be mistaken but would appreciate if any one has additional information.
