I think the one on the right here enjoys the slant in the nest! :lollol: It's like a little mountain for him to climb!

Just watched the banding of the two eaglets with my students!! Glad to see Kathy Clark, NJ Fish & Wildlife, and Erica Miller, Tri-State Rescue and Research Group in Delaware. It was wonderful. Kathy could become another Jack Hanna.

Two boys I do believe. Both healthy. The older one has the green band on the right leg and the younger has the band on the left.

from duke's ustream channel today is banding day

Today, from about 10:45-11:45 a.m. EDT, wildlife biologists from New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Fish & Wildlife, Endangered and Nongame Species Program will be banding this year’s young eagles at Duke Farms. Students from schools in New Jersey have submitted questions that will be answered by the Wildlife Biologists, broadcast live on USTREAM. Students across New Jersey study this nest through a curriculum designed by Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey.

Sorry, but in my opinion and compared to the banding of the Norfolk eaglets this was an unnecessarily long torture for the little Duke Farm eaglets :sunmad:
