Glad you caught it Mick! I of course missed it ... was finishing up at work (after watching her ALL day!)

JudyB's post on WOW ....

Second egg arrived at about 4:30 pm central time - I wasn't fast enough to get a s'cap, but Debs from the Hancock forum got several pics just after it arrived - here's the link - http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/vi ... 550#294550

Dad was on the nest during the delivery - busily snacking on the leftovers from lunch and apparently oblivious to Mom's efforts (though it's quite possible that he was there to provide protection while she was busy, and the leftovers were a bonus, so to speak).

That could be it susan there was something going on earlier today they left the egg uncovered and were both screaming at something you could see it was flying around then finally after about 15 minutes of just standing there one took off and took care of it and came back about 10 minutes or so later they were still kind of edgy but finally calmed down

Way to go, Mick! I was sure you would come through for us, and as usual, you did!

kitten, I saw that stand-off too, both Mom and Dad were intently tracking something. Even without sound I could hear in my mind their threatening squawks. And I swear it was Mom -- who as we now know had a gigantic egg inside just itching to get out! -- who took off after the intruder.

How far around can a bald eagle turn its head? This far:

Apologies if you were unable to see this before. Apparently my first upload went bad, so I've uploaded it again. This should work.

Thanks elf. That's better rotation than on my ball-joint tripod head!

I saw then once PattiO. I like the almost straight-on view of them and I think they are really attractive eagles! My feed was choppy. I tried to do a recording but the feed would freeze for 3-5 seconds every 10 seconds or so.

Here's a screenshot I forgot to post. I believe it's the male.
