Bird Cams Around the World

Hello Patti,

Glad you are enjoying the Wildwatch cameras and nesting season actually seems to be early for some species and on-track for others like the eagles. I know the eagles have been observed adding fresh material to their nest as captured by a viewer who sent me this night-time photo of the pair. Generally breeding takes place as the nest building activity increases and shortly after the female starts to lay. We should have several weeks before any eggs are laid.

We are attempting some new streaming techniques on several of our cams that are with a certain image provider and our should be streaming for the eagles and a few other WildWatchcams should be in action.

Glad to hear you love the action and please take a moment of your time to share the link to our cameras and send it to a few friends and/or relatives. A growing number of viewers demonstrates public support and really helps in these tight budget times. More viewers may also translate into more public contributions to continue our very unique species wildlife cams. Keep up the emails yet another type of clear public support for what the cams offer- views of and learning about Washington’s wildlife.

Update Early March 2011
The bald eagles have been busy re-building the nest and may be seen through-out early March at the nest. Keep in mind this camera sees only the nest. Aerial and tree-top courting and mating are taking place and eggs in the nest will follow. This year we are trying new streaming technologies so pardon us if the streaming video is not immediately available.
