Hey beans

I saw your recording on YT and had to come to say how wonderful it is. The reaction of David is priceless and Alexandra plunking herself down on the landing is so cute. She recovered her composure nicely.

Good job catching this!

My goodness David is a pro at the landings isn't he if it wasn't for knowing it was his first time out and about and his feather colors I would have thought that was an adult JUST SO GRACEFUL. It is kind of bittersweet because like the nest I watch they will leave & return but after a while they won't come back, we can only hope for the best and from watching David he is going to be just fine.

Because the cam will soon be turned off, I wanted to post another video. I can just imagine what happened off-camera, before they arrived. Dad was getting food for them, they saw this, and beat him to the nest! And when they arrived, they both wanted to be in the best position to grab it. I don't know what it was, but judging by their reaction, it had to be something they liked.

Soon they will be on their way. What a wonderful season this has been!

Thanks to everyone who made viewing these eagles possible: Doug Carrick, for putting the first camera in the nest tree. David Hancock, for working with Infotec to stream the cam. Wild Earth TV, for hosting the stream and providing the Archives. Hornby Eagle Group, for setting up the streaming these last two years. Raptorman, for his hard work and technical expertise.

A special thanks to all the members who tirelessly recorded the eagles' day-to-day actions. Thank you, thank you! :loveheart:
