The eye injury is most troubling for me. How can an eagle survive in the wild without superior vision?

It is possible that the eye will heal properly Susan. We will just have to hope for the best...

Crossing my fingers that she heals well!

Mick, I asked Reese about Cary. She is one of the NBG paparazzi that apparently spends some time also trying to catch Azelea and other offspring from NBG. She got really lucky this week! Reese tells me he's been spending some time at the golf course too and has spotted several banded juvie and adult eagles. It must be an eagle party there!

On the day that you all are talking about, Cary actually got pics of HK, Azalea's brother from the same year. HK was first hatch, Azalea (HH) was second hatch and little sister HE from the sayme year. Here's a link to the NBG page with Cary's post. It contains a link to her pictures. HK was playing with another purple banded juvenile on the day that she photographed him. But she can't read the band...

You can "meet" Cary and some of the other followers of the Norfolk nest on my video:

New pics of the NBG pair from last night. So sweet...

Chris, I've seen it before but the Eagle Enthusiasts video is so cute and always brings a smile. Thanks for the link to Reese's new pics on the blog.

I had to post this one from Reese's blog. (Thank you Reese)

Your welcom Gigi, the 'eagle enthusiasts' video is one of my favorites from that day. And Mick, the pic you posted is one of my favorites too! Like an old married couple, so comfortable with each other...

Here's a medical update on Buddy. It's a more in-depth update than just the usual beak trim:
http://www.wildlifecenter.org/wp/nbge-medical-updates/

And there have been some recent training updates that I found interesting (I always like to know how things work!):

And there's an update for NX this morning:

Thank you for the updates and photo links Chris. She is strikingly beautiful. I am so thankful that Buddy is given such good care.

Here was an interesting link to NX's travels.
