Sooner Lake~before these pics, they were having quite the "discussion" about something.. wish I had caught that on my recording .. they were really fussing. .

Image

I think that's the male underneath

Image

She got tired of him messing with the nest UNDER her. . so, she left

Image

Image

Sequoyah~somebody has been there a lot. . I think they were early layers last year (I'll have to look)

That was so funny to see the female with her tail on top of the male in SGB's photos.

So glad you caught the Sooner Lake pair!! They haven't been there very much.

The Vian pair laid eggs at the very end of December last year! They are busy busy this morning!

Working on the nest bowl this morning...the male arrived and proceeded to "fluff up" the bowl. . the female nudge him away and proceeded to try and undo his mess. . :hollaugh:

This nest has been very active ALL day. . and has rarely been unoccupied. . I really think we will see eggs sooner rather than later.

Male brings a food gift. . the female was not interested...but I could tell she was chattering to him. . I really think she wanted more than food, based on her posture and behavior the entire time he was in the nest. He kinda ignored her.. :hollaugh: ....Believe it or not, she has just now eaten the fish (5:00 est)...

He decides to work on the nest bowl while she just chats away..

Image

Image

She finally got his attention

Image

There appeared to be some disturbance off cam that both were very interested in .. one left, followed shortly by the other. .

Image

Male eventually returned. . .then female. . once she arrived, he left again. . and she has been there ever since ..so, I don't know if there are intruding eagles in the area and they feel somebody has to be in the nest at all times. . .or if she is starting to feel "motherly" .. as I type...male has just returned and both are fluffing!!!
