Was wondering where all the posts from the Vian nest went ... and realized it's a new year! :girlcrazy:

Mom & Dad Sooner (aka Fred & Ethel) spent the night near the nest on Friday. Watched them until it was dark. :)

I took several captures this morning when eggs were revealed, and I wonder if there might, just might, be a pip on one of those eggs. I zoomed in. See what you think:

Hmmmm ... hard to tell Elf ... although right at the beginning it almost looked as if the adult heard something, thus causing it to get up and investigate. Seems just a tiny bit early to me though.

shouldn't be to long til a hatch I'll say 10 minutes after I leave for work

The gossip here is that the eggs aren't any good cuz they are late hatching as they think but if my guess is right it should be today if it goes by the first egg it is at 336 days

Oh yes! Parents have been switching off since early morning, and whoever is on the eggs gets up about every 4 or 5 minutes to take a peek, and often dips his/her head in to listen. The "pip" is now, IMO, a big hole or two, and I think I can even detect a crack. Two videos from 1-2 hours ago:

and

Currently Dad on the nest, I think.
