New nest cam in Florida streaming with infrared. This info was posted somewhere on the forum by wskrsnwings and then on BCAW facebook page by SGB. If I get info on the residents I will post an update.

Wow this nest is so clear the only thing wrong is the buzzing in the microphone there is talk (don't know how true) that they are preparing for eggs
I hope if that is the case they at least wait til Sandy is gone far far away

It does seem early even in Florida.

Dayton/Boonshoft Jim & Cindy update

October 30, 2012 - As the month of October moved along, so did the nest reconstruction project. Jim and Cindy have built the nest back up to the 2011 nest size! It once again dominates the treeline south of the Mad River. It can clearly be seen from Route 4 and from Eastwood Lake now that most of the leaves have fallen.

Yesterday we stood in the blustery winds and watched as Jim carried large clumps of grass back to the tree to carpet the center of the nest. As the year winds down, they will continue to add to its walls in preparation for late winter egg-laying. One of the 2012 juveniles is hanging out around Eastwood Lake but will be chased away before the new eggs arrive.

Today I visited again and discovered that Hurricane Sandy’s savage winds had done no visible damage to the nest or our eagles. That is a very good thing! :sum10: November is when the real courting activity begins so keep looking up! JBW/EEW

Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge update from FB page

October 29 at 11:43pm ·
After seeing some of the comments from the Bald Eagle photo below of Hope and Valor, the pair at Lock and Dam 13, I thought I should clarify. Yes the pair is back and building their nest, yes the eagle cam should be up and working soon, problem is they built the nest in a new tree and not in the one with the camera. We will still be able to see the nest from a distance but won't be able to see down in the nest from the top of the tree. More details will be coming soon with more specifics. I am afraid I don't know them all. Just wanted to give you a quick update on the pair. They do look like the happy couple! Thanks! Connie Zink President of Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge

Osprey nest @ Barbee Mill site in Seattle, WA has had Eagles perched on the camview for several years.
They must have a nest somewhere in the area.

I, too, have made a few trips to Maryland and the eagles on the Susquehanna River at The Conowingo Dam. Our resident eagles on the Hudson are also visible every day. Enjoy the photos.

Ohhh noooo Bonnie!! I went to the Croton Point Eagle Festival for the first time this year. :( The poor trees! There was an article in our paper today .... nearly 10,000 trees in New York City alone ... thousand upon thousands down on Long Island ... New Jersey, 113,000 ... so sad.
