We now have an Owl and Hawk Nesting Calendar:

Hawks are on this calendar, so please post any new eggs or hatches in Breaking News so the calendar can be updated. Also post there any new nests that you may run across. Thanks!

I took a little 17 block detour this afternoon after my dentist visit and stopped by the Franklin Institute to see what was going on.

I captured this shot of the tiercel doing his duty on the three eggs at rioughly 1 PM

The incubation period is 28-30 days. I'll have to check to see when she laid her three eggs and come up with an eggspected hatch date for each. Should be sometime mid april

Overnight, Two Eyasses have hatched! Parents gave first meal to the two early this am at 0630. :thumbegg: :thumbegg: No signs of a pip in the third egg...yet. :egghatch: :egghatch:

Our local ABC affiliate WPVI ran a story this evening on the hatch of the two eyasses, i have snagged this photo off hte 6abc website

I have some friends that were at the FI on Sunday. They said to me ... "Did you know there's a RTH nest on the FI?" :lol: :lol: I said of course I do!! Just got time to check today though - didn't know we had hatches!! :grin:
