Thanks for the pictures this morning, Beth and SGB.

I love watching these cute chicks. Here are a couple more from this morning: In the second picture, one has managed to fly up to the entrance of the nest box and check out the world outside! :)

Thanks, kitten, for the cute pictures! We'll have to enjoy these kestrel chicks while we still can . . . they could fledge as early as tomorrow, but I'm hoping they stick around for another week.

Wow kitten . . . that's spectacular!!! Our beautiful kestrel chicks in the spotlight, all "blinged" out. I love it.

I couldn't believe how quickly these two kestrel cuties grew up, so I checked back through the posts and here's what I found (photos originally posted by Beth, kittenface, jjop, and Catbird).

Sunday, July 26: Day One (first chick hatched on July 26, second chick hatched on July 27)

Image

Monday, August 3: One Week Old

Image

Monday, August 10: Two Weeks Old

Image

Monday, August 17 - Three Weeks Old

Image

Monday, August 24: Four Weeks Old (They could fledge any time now.)

And the stars of our show (courtesy of kittenface) . . .

That nest box sure is starting to look small when they spread their wings! ;)

Here are a couple more pictures from this morning: first it's the male, then it's the female.
