We have another USA Kestrel nest to watch with inside and outside
view no sound and i don't know yet about night time but its Boise Idaho

Kitten - Great find with the new kestrel nest in Idaho! I just checked, and it's lit up at night too.

I'll get the Kestrel Cam links page and Nesting Calendar page updated in the next couple of minutes.

Nebraska Kestrels

I think we'll see a hatch here today or tomorrow. Mom Kestrel keeps moving and spinning on the eggs, so I think something's happening. Plus it's about time: the second to the last egg was laid on April 9.

Well, maybe it will be tomorrow for the Nebraska kestrels. Dad just left the nest and Mom came back. When the eggs were visible during the changeover, I didn't see any pips or signs of hatching.

It is a nice arrangement of the eggs, however.

I just got this off a video I took I think it is a shell in her beak she pulled it
out from under her right after the male came in and out all in about 10 seconds

KF - Thanks for the heads-up on the Nebraska kestrels. You were right - there was a hatch. Two hatches in fact!

After I saw your post, I started watching the nest but mom was covering everything up. When she got up and left, I got my first sight of the two cute chicks before dad arrived. Then mom came back in with dinner, which both chicks really enjoyed!
