The other one was probably around somewhere close by Jazzel. But, yes, they can sit in the same spot for HOURS! Especially in the winter ... to conserve energy. The next refresh after I took that last pic in the SS she was gone. :)

Beth, I agree, good catch!!

Patti, now I need to ask you, once again, is this normal Bald Eagle mating behavior? As far as I know, ospreys would not "WooHoo" on an eagle nest..fascinating

Pearl :turkeylove: :rainbow Turkey Vultures are so peaceful!

  I don't think eagles care where they "WooHoo"! :) Eagles are at the top of the chain - they do it wherever they want! :D These 2 are usually the first to lay eggs each year so they are doin a little bonding. :okleaves:

Nice catch Patti! There are lots of herons in the area. I think Jazzel might be right though...it does look like a cormorant.

Yes, I had emailed the pic in ... Lisa emailed me back and said she had posted on the website suggesting a immature cormorant. I've only ever seen adult cormorants so.... :)

An eagle did eventually show up... :)
