The chick jsut appears much darker today.
I have been trying to research diseases that could kill young , have not come up with anything yet.

Bev you're probily right I'm on the road checking nests so i'm looking at this on an iPhone so it's hard to see. I can see now it is small and it does look much darker than yesterday, the color's what made me think adult. Thanks

I know Sherri form Maine site will not mind if I bring this over.

she caught adult and wee one this morning.

I think the fog etc, makes the wee one look darker than perhaps he/she is

little was alone, adult came in , adult picked up remains of other owlet and took it off nest. Adult nudged dead owlet a few times and then picked it up and off

Excuse spelling ,I was ina hurry and should not be watching right now :wink: :wink:

Thanks for all the reports and pics bev!! I was glad to see an adult back this morning. Just had a chance to look back in and see she has taken the dead one away. Now I just hope she comes back again!
