Thanks for the info, Jazzel

I think it is 1048am at the Lowes and Lady has been standing at the top of the nest for quite a while.
Didn't realize that Os do not like rain...
It looks like a very wet morning at the Lowes...temp in the upper 40s. She occasionally ruffles her feathers to get rid of the water from the drizzling rain.

Hope the sun breaks through so that she can get working on the nest :boogie

:egg5:

It has been about an hour (time now is 12noon at LoL) and Lady is enjoying her lunch in the nest. Wow
she is very impressive because the fish looks like it is half her size... :wow: it is HUGE!

It is a beautiful day at the Loch--temps in the 40s (F), calm winds and sunny :rainbow
Such a nice change from the dismal rain and heavy gusts

Maybe it is a sign that her mate will be there today :egg5: :egg5: :egg5:

Lady had 2 visitors today ... but neither of them was 7Y. She is sleeping on her nest tonight. :)

Tuned in to the webcam about 930am (UK time) and someone directed the cam to some trees in the distance. A lone osprey was standing there.

Cam swept back to the nest. Lady was there and she seemed to have noticed the osprey, too.
For the next few minutes, she was softly chirping--no alarm calls or mantling. Approximately 945am, an osprey flew in and mated with her. She didn't protest.

It is 10am and an osprey appears...who is it??? Cam is refocusing now. Someone is trying to identify the new osprey. Lady seems to recognize this osprey. :eggwave:

This new osprey doesn't stay long and takes off from the nest at 1003am with Lady watching.

Should we put out the :grwelcom

Hi Carly...thanks for that funny article! I bet if Lady or 7Y could "talk", what interesting tales they would tell :egg7:

Right now it is about 815am at the LoL and both Os are standing on the right side of the nest. It is very windy (again). Lady has been constantly chirping softly--wonder why.
Maybe telling 7Y that she wants some breakfast, but he is more concerned about preening his feathers.

Hey Jazzel...something strange happened at the nest.

1052pm(HST)...Lady and Odin abruptly left the nest. They didn't appear to be agitated or on the alert for intruders.

1153pm(HST)...cam zooms in on the egg which appears intact.
No sign of either parent--yet. :thud

Any idea what is going on???? :think Hmmmm, I just heard the chirp of an osprey, but it isn't in view of the cam.
I am afraid leaving the egg unattended for over an hour might affect its viability. :cold:

12a (HST)--looks like it is Lady that just landed on the right side of the nest. :egg5: She is rolling the egg--adjusting the surrounding nesting material--finally settles down, rocking back and forth.

:sigh Hopefully, she will stay on the egg!

44 days since first egg and 41 since second. With any luck we may have a chick today - Lady appears to be gearing up. Watching carefully.

It is about 940pm (UK time) and there is still some light left in the day. Lady is nestled in the nest, calling quite consistently. Looks like it will be a nice night for her to get a good :zzzzz

I am with ya, MaryG. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a :egghatch: soon. My bet is on the 28th

I hope Lady has one hatch, all she needs, that's why she migrated back again, laid 3 eggs and incubates them.

Hi Jazzel
I am still holding on with hopes that an egg will hatch. and tomorrow will be THE day!!!!

I just read the LL Blog (29th) and it has been 40 days since the 3rd egg has been laid.
It sounds like the team has given up hope on egg 1 and egg 2...

My prayers are still with Lady that an egg will :egghatch: I already have my toes and fingers crossed
Yes... She truly deserves to have at least one offspring in 2011.

It is 728am (UK time), May 30th

Jazzel...are my eyes deceiving me??? Lady just exited the nest. As 7Y started to settle onto the eggs, the camera zoomed in (a bit blurred) and it looked like there was a "tiny" movement.

Could it be a :egghatch: or am I just imagining it...hope not!

Yep, Lady does have the final word.
There was a large fish delivered by 7Y (140p UK time). 7Y departs and Lady is feasting on the left side of the nest. The cam momentarily zoomed in on the eggs...no hatch...yet.

I am still optimistic that there will be at least...at least one hatch this year. She truly deserves to have an offspring after her long journey back.

Sounds of light rain falling right now as Lady continues to have lunch....
