Eagle Owl, Beleef de Lente...Translated log entry:

Gejo Wassink, Eagle Owl Working Group Netherlands (OWN)

10:50, Tuesday, March 1, 2011

As you can see the welcome message that we went to the webcam for the owl would not brood. A few days ago because we found the female in breeding posture in a different place. It looked very much as if there is no Eagle Owl showed greater experience in the Spring. Only since Saturday, she is still on the webcam. We do not know if there are eggs. You may be given that evening to see if Mrs Oehoe around sunset here will leave the nest?

So I guess there is some question as to whether this is her final nesting spot? Not sure...

Well, I know it said they weren't sure if she had eggs, but sure looks like an egg wiggle to me...

We've got REAL (read: human) translations overhere:

And yes, she's now staying in front of the cam.

Eurasian Eagle-owl - Bubo bubo

Beleef de Lente

We're pretty sure Madame has laid an egg, maybe more than one.

You can read about Eurasian Eagle-owls Here: Owl Pages – Eurasian Eagle-owl

English translations for the Beleef de Lente Forum here: Geniet van de Lente

You probably already know that Beleef de Lente means Experience Spring

Geniet van de Lente means Enjoy Spring

Video: Eurasian Eagle-owls Call to Each Other in the Night

He’s irresistible -- she must fly to him!

Note: They were calling back and forth for about five minutes before she left. She was gone about ten minutes.

Video: Breakfast in Bed

Dad brings breakfast, albeit a very early one, to his mate. Then he seems to make sure she approves and has it firmly in her beak before taking his leave. How gentle they are with each other!

Many thanks to LN from Geniet van de Lente, who helped me fix my typos on YT!
