SECOND HATCH for Sydney & Mel :hapdance:

Last night at 9:11pm "Boomer" came into the world! So now there is Maggie and Boomer, 2 eggs left :girlyes:

Cant get any pics yet, main site is offline, along with 3/4cam site offline.

Can view them today though at the Adventures of Mel & Sydney blog, that cam can be seen. I just cant get any s'caps with my snipping tool once I go fullscreen...anyone without the snipping tool can use screen cap system to get a scap..cam view is on left side of page, 3/4 way down the page... here is the link to blog page to view:

3rd HATCH FOR SYDNEY & MEL!! Welcome little "Alice" into the world

Could not get a pic of all 3 (Syd is fast and keeps them covered!) so here is one of the first two. Will get one of Alice soon...

As you can see, the "Heroes" Ellie, Clark, and Dee, are sooo big that mom Dale now kind of stands over them, still wanting to "cover" her brood LOL.

By the way, Roy is such a superb hunter, ever since Dale has been incubating, he has brought in wabbits every night. So many, the box has had 8 or more in it at one time piled up! In fact, he has brought in 121 rabbits so far!!! Here is a link to a minute video of Roy bringing in #121, and showing Dale some love :girlyes:

I found out about the same time you posted Beth. so sad, Leggs McGee made history...He was so beautiful...hope Molly can find a new mate or one of the previous clutch's owlets come and claim the box. Would love to know Molly stuck around or brought a new mate to her safe box though...am sure it tore up Carlos and Donna, he was so special to them...if we are going to watch these cams, we have to toughen up so we can be prepared for the circle of life when it hits us :girlsad3:

4th HATCH FOR SYDNEY & MEL!!! 01:28am this morning, the 4th egg actually hatched! "Roo" is the final owlet, so happy all 4 have hatched...was thinking maybe Syd was off for too long chasing after Maggie LOL - the other day Maggie escaped out the back end, and made a "slow" run for the nestbox door! It took Syd 3 attempts to finally redirect her back to the others LOL. Syd was so gentle, she did not pick her up by the wing, but used her face to push her gently closer and closer...it took a while, how patient Sydney was :girlyes:

Here is a small pic of the pink pileup, Roo is of course hidden in the center. They are doing a group hug with their little winglets already :flirty:

You can see 3 heads there, Roo is hidden in the center underneath Maggie, Boomer & Alice

Have been busy watching eaglets and didnt get around to posting some snips I had of our beloved barn owls and their owlets! So they are a couple days old, but here are some updates:

Sydney doesnt realize she has a little one popping out from behind he he he

Dale was trying to stand over them even still...

But has now given that up and is standing beside them lol

And look how big Ellie is as she stretches up tall!

They are all growing fast, and are so adorable :girlyes:

Roy has his rabbit delivery count up to 162 now!

Dont ya just love them? :girlyes:

Found Swiss mom in nest ONCE AGAIN at 2am, and decided her body language was very interesting...

Does it look like she is sitting on eggs??

So I decided to hang out for a while and see...

At least 3 maybe 4 eggs!!

Just found this nestcam in my area a few weeks ago. I've been watching to see how many babies there are. I think she's at 5 or 6. Well, finally today, got a good look at a few of them. Love the barn owl baby peek - a - boo

One finally says to the other, "Hey, I want to get back under there"
